In the Code Garden - With Renee - Front-End Web Development Basics - Ep 2
This month in the Code Garden, Renee will help you sow your first seeds in the garden of front-end web development! She'll be talking about how HTML, CSS, and JavaScript come together to build the webpages you know and love! In week 1, we'll look at what exactly "front-end" web development is and what you can do with it (without having a backend at all!). Join us to learn some essential HTML and CSS, and deploy then that to the internet with GitHub Pages. In week 2, we'll take a look at your next essential items in HTML and CSS to give our site structure and flair, as well as see how we can use CSS to create interactive webpages. In week 3, we'll bring JavaScript into the picture, and see how we can bring a whole new level of functionality to our site with scripts and cookies 🍪! In this episode learn more about HTML tags that can be used for grouping and structuring, alongside CSS. Then add interactive elements to your site with CSS hover and other interactive elements.
