Azure Fundamentals EP8: Azure cloud Governance tools and services
This session is a part of Ten Tuesdays to Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) series. This series will provide a foundational level knowledge on cloud concepts; core Azure services; security, privacy, compliance, and trust; and Azure pricing and support. By the end of the series you will have the confidence and skills for AZ900 exam. What is the session about? In this session, we will focus on Governance and the various tools that ensure consistency in Azure deployments. Azure makes it easy to deploy resources, though the downside to this is sprawl; Sprawl is when resources that are not used in production are deployed for testing or demo purposes but never removed or disabled therefore adding to the overall cost , but not adding value specifically. Azure includes a host of Governance tools like Azure Policy and Azure Blueprints that enable customers to ensure consistency in deployments and reporting that allows auditors to view what resources are not deployed and configured consistently as planned. Who is it aimed at? The audience for this series is new to or beginning to learn about cloud computing and how Microsoft Azure provides that service. Why should you attend?
