Building on data virtualization capabilities in SQL Server 2022 and now Azure SQL Managed Instance, we’re introducing the Parquet data storage capability to SqlPackage in preview. Reading and writing copies of your database is easier and faster for larger databases thanks to the data being stored in Azure Blob Storage as Parquet flat files.
