SF Game Development: A Fireside Chat with ID@Xbox and Double Fine Productions
SF Game Development is excited to announce a special meetup featuring speakers from the ID@XBOX team and Double Fine Productions. The meetup will be hosted at the Microsoft Reactor on Tuesday, September 27th 2022 from 6pm-9pm. Food and drink will be sponsored by Microsoft. Arrive on time for our networking session starting at 6pm, and the speakers will go on stage at 7pm. This event is open to the public and is a professional networking event for game developers, artists, students, indies and anyone else who’s interested in game development. In our Fireside Chat session moderated by Jordan Schuetz, Chloé Giusti from the ID@Xbox program and Victor Romero from Double Fine Productions will demystify the process of building a relationship with Microsoft and getting your game onto Xbox, talk about what it’s like going through a publisher vs. Xbox for publishing games, and share first hand advice for releasing and marketing your game. Stick around to ask questions, meet Microsoft’s GDK Release Manager Erikka Thompson and Creator Community Director Daniel Lingen, and network with other SF Game Development members. Parking is available in the Moscone parking garage at 255 3rd Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, or FREE street metered parking is available on Harrison Street. Alternatively, use public transport or rideshare, when possible. Speakers Victor Romero Victor Romero is a longtime member of the game development community with 20 years of experience across companies such as Vivendi Games, Electronic Arts, and Double Fine Productions, collaborating with game teams through his work in release management, production, testing, writing and editing, online marketing, community management, and customer support. Chloé Giusti Chloé Giusti is a strategic partner manager with ID@Xbox, with a passion for supporting game creators through her 15+ years in the industry. She has previously worked in games QA and localization, and as Third-Party relations at SCEE and Business Development for Pocket Gamer, and now focuses on helping independent game developers build relationships and successfully publish their games on Xbox.
