In this session, you will get a glimpse of the mixed reality spectrum and get tips & tricks on how to get into this space. As a game developer / .NET developer, you may have already mastered the essential skills for making PC, mobile, and console games. You are probably familiar with working with programmers, designers, and 3D artists. The game changer here is what tools support your journey into AR/VR/MR. Cross-platform tools like Mixed Reality Toolkit (MRTK) make this jump a little easier. Learn how this free, Microsoft-driven, open-source project can kick-start your MR exploration with an enhanced volumetric UX / UI system and pre-defined components that accelerate cross-platform development in Unity. We will learn here how we can build our first XR app on HoloLens 2 using Unity 3D and MRTK3. Who is it aimed at? This session is targeted to anyone interested in learning more about the Mixed Reality space. Speakers: Hadeel Shubair & Zaid Zaim Guest: Rama Sbeinaty Hadeel Shubair: Hadeel is a Regional Cloud Advocate and Data Analytics Engineer for Microsoft, Middle East/Africa region. She holds a Master’s degree in Data Analytics and is passionate about learning and sharing her knowledge on tech topics including Data Analytics, AI, & ML. Before joining Microsoft, Hadeel held several appointments and roles including Google Women in Tech scholar through which she delivered several sessions to the community to motivate and empower young talents. Hadeel also served as part of the Data & Communications team overlooking the organization of the World Government Summit. On the other side, while at University, Hadeel chaired the Women in Engineering club, and was the Chief Editor of the Engineering Newsletter. As a Cloud Advocate for the Microsoft Reactor, Hadeel’s main goal is to take you on a journey to understand & learn more about Data and AI concepts and applications. She's passionate about technology, education, & growing the Data & AI community across the region. Zaid Zaim: Today, as a Microsoft MVP for Mixed Reality, Zaid brings the Cultural Heritage of destroyed sites like the UNESCO city of Palmyra in Syria back to life with modern technology - He leads and engages with diverse worldwide Tech communities and Evangelizes for Mixed Reality. Zaid loves joining Hackathons and bringing projects to life, he enjoys going to meetups and connecting with others in the Metaverse. He leads the Unity Berlin user group bringing people from diverse backgrounds to talk about tech. He Works at Hololux and drives Metaverse activities supporting customers and clients on their Metaverse Journey.
